ABOUT J.C. ERNST

After moving to New York City, he co-created The Crook Theater Company, which won an INNOVATIVE THEATER AWARD for Best Revival of a Play for their production of MacBeth at the Access Theater in NYC.  

He is Co-Artistic Director with the company in which he also directs, writes, acts and produces.

J.C.’s first original play, Goodbody, was produced and performed at 59E59 Theaters in NYC. It received critical acclaim, sold out performances, and was nominated for an NYIT award.

He continues his education as an actor through many classes, seminars and workshops.  Recent classes include Voice-Overs with Casting Director Roger Becker, Commercial Auditions with Casting Director David Cady, and an Actor Business Bootcamp with Peter Pamela Rose.

VOICE OVERS:  He is currently freelancing with agent Chris Davis at NextGen/Access Talent

COMMERCIAL:  He is currently freelancing with Manager Ken Park at Ken Park Management

 

RECENT NEWS:

After relocating to Salt Lake City, J.C. signed with TMG.

J.C. performed in an online theatrical event produced by PBS Utah & Salt Lake Acting Company.

J.C. was recently in Parking Garage Productions short, Citadel Rising

J.C. recently shot Terra Chips & Jet Blue commercials.

J.C. performed in SHOTZ, an evening of short plays at the Kraine Theater in NYC.

J.C. was recently cast as the lead in a short for SPIKE TV and SPIKETV.com called FILM SCHOOLED.

J.C. has performed the title role in Hunger & Thirst's MESSENGER #1.  A new ancient Greek tragedy by Mark Jackson at The Paradise Factory Theater, NYC.

J.C. has booked numerous radio and promotional voice-overs.  Recent bookings include Toyota, TradeStation, New York Institute of Technology, Lipton Iced Tea, Bank of West Mastercard, St. John Fisher College, Bojangles, Flying J, and BeautyRest.
